Dr. Velangi was amazing from start to finish. They were able to get me in for an appointment much sooner than I expected, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. My surgery went very well, and I especially want to recognize Christian, Dr. Velangi's assistant. He was incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate, and he made sure I felt informed and at ease throughout the entire experience. I truly appreciate the outstanding care I received from everyone at ProSmile Implant Center. I highly recommend them to anyone considering dental implants or oral surgery. I’m from New Jersey and was looking for a New Dentist in Scottsdale. I have a full set of implants on the whole top of my mouth. The front six teeth have become a little loose so I was looking for a doctor to try to bang them out and re-glue them. The type of implant I have are glued in went to four different doctors each one of them wanted to cut out the iBridge and make a complete new one…. The price I got were between 18,000 down to 12,000 and then maybe some additional implant work they were ensure…. I decided to go for one more consult with pro smile when I got there I told the dentist I wasn’t interested in having another bridge done the only reason I was there is I wanted him to see if he could take the bridge out since it was loose and we glow it if he couldn’t do that, I wasn’t interested in anything else after he checked out my teeth. He explains me that he thinks the screw is loose and if he could tighten the screw, the bridge wouldn’t have to come out if he couldn’t tighten the screw then he would have to make a new bridge so I asked him what is a ballpark figure for New bridge and he said somewhere around 7000. I looked at him and said you got the job pro smile is honest not looking to take advantage of you and I would highly recommend going to their office, Love pro smile.!!!!!PS… The estimate came in under 7000!!!Posted on Google Glorie Jo LimJuly 3, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My 13 year old daughter had an oral surgery where she had to go under anesthesia and they worked well with her and made her very comfortable. The anesthesiologist was great in explaining everything to her and the doctors & office staff were fantastic!Posted on Google Judi ZalimasJuly 2, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I just moved here and found myself in need of assistance from some discomfort. From the moment I called I was greeted with I think her name was Kim and she sounded like a concerned friend and got me right in. Dr Mehta immediately determined my needs. Even after three weeks I came back in without hesitation he adjusted my bite with amazing care and professionalism. Coming from someone who completely dislikes the dentist it is a big deal for me to say that my experience with Dr Mehta and his office has been easy, comfortable and would trust them for the rest of my dental procedures and maintenance.Posted on Google Roxann BrownJune 29, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Got my all on 4 implants done here and I'm really happy with how everything turned out. They explained what was happening at every step which made it so much less scary than I thought it would be. I actually want to smile in pictures now which says a lot.Posted on Google CharleenJune 28, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What Implants Can Do for You
Because implants are placed directly into the jawbone, they replace the root as well as the crown, giving your body a stable foundation no other restoration can provide. Patients who choose implants gain:
- The ability to chew comfortably and eat without restriction
- Protection against the bone loss that begins immediately after a tooth is lost
- Improved speech clarity and bite alignment
- Freedom from the discomfort and embarrassment of loose dentures
- A solution for one missing tooth, several teeth, or a full arch
- A long-term restoration that does not require replacement every few years
- Greater confidence in social, personal, and professional settings
How We Determine Whether You Are a Candidate
Before recommending any treatment, our oral surgeons conduct a thorough evaluation to confirm that implants are safe, stable, and a good fit for your specific situation. This is never a one-size-fits-all assessment. During your consultation, we look carefully at:
- Jawbone density and volume, to confirm there is enough structure to support an implant post
- Gum health and the presence of any active periodontal disease
- Medical history, current medications, and overall health
- The number and location of missing or failing teeth
- Bite alignment and jaw structure
- Any existing dental work that may need to be addressed before or during treatment
What Happens During Your Implant Consultation
Your visit begins with a detailed clinical exam and an honest conversation about your goals, concerns, and dental history. We want to understand not just the clinical picture, but what matters most to you about the outcome.
We use 3D CBCT imaging to evaluate your bone levels, jaw structure, and overall oral health with precise detail, giving our surgeons the information needed to plan treatment accurately before it begins.
Based on your exam and imaging, we determine whether you are an immediate strong candidate or whether some preparatory treatment would improve your chances of long-term success.
You leave your consultation with a clear, customized plan outlining your implant options, the expected timeline, and what each step involves. There is no pressure to commit on the spot, and no question is too small to ask.
What If You Are Not an Ideal Candidate Right Now?
Bone Loss
When a tooth has been missing for a long time, the jawbone in that area begins to shrink. If there is not enough bone volume to support an implant, a bone grafting procedure can rebuild the foundation needed for stable placement. Many patients who were told they lacked adequate bone have successfully received implants after grafting.
Periodontal Disease
Active gum disease must be resolved before implants are placed, because infection can interfere with healing and long-term stability. We can address this before implant treatment proceeds.
Medical Conditions and Medications
Certain conditions and medications that affect bone metabolism or immune response can influence healing. We review your medical history and coordinate with your physician when appropriate to keep your plan safe and well-suited to your health.
Lifestyle Factors
Smoking and other habits can affect how well implants integrate. We identify any relevant risk factors early and offer straightforward guidance to improve your chances of a lasting outcome. We are not here to judge; we are here to help you reach a place where implants can work well for you.
Being Told No Elsewhere Does Not Have to Be the Final Answer
A rejection somewhere else does not automatically mean implants are impossible for you here. Because our surgeons perform all surgical procedures in-house, including preparatory treatments like bone grafting and extractions, we are equipped to take on cases that other offices may turn away. If you have doubts about your candidacy, the best next step is simply to come in and let our team take a look.
